Imagine Agassiz, a crystal clear ice-melt lake at the beginning of time. As the glacier's thousand-meter high receded northward it dropped giant shards of ice into the newly-born lake ninety per cent of their mass settling secretly beneath the water. Imagine three of those icebergs preserved over countless years standing now in our midst. That which is hidden from our eyes need not be hidden from our mind.
